What do you do the most to protect your website and what tips can you give cause coders users, small or large.

These are my tips:

  • Use Cpanel/WHM (it has bruteforce protection and modsecurity to stop attacks and sql injections)
  • Install the CSF Firewall (be sure to set your ip address to trusted. It blocks attempts to your cPanel after a certain number of times among many other things)
  • Use Cloudflare (free unlimited DDoS protection as of a couple months ago and major security boosts)
  • Install an SSL certificate and redirect your domain to "HTTPS" or use cloudflares free SSL and "always redirect to https" setting
  • Delete the MX entry record in cloudflare (cPanel too if your using an older version. It's now deprecated in newer versions. The MX entry allows attackers to find your ip address to setup a DDoS attack)
So let us know how you protect your site and give the users some helpful tips.
